Ann entered the music business in 1982 as part of the Licensing/Business Affairs Department at A&M Records, having previously worked in other industries. She then took a similar role at Virgin Records in 1984, and over the next 21 years continued to deal with the varied and ever-changing elements of licensing and business affairs in the music industry.
