Since studying law at QMW University of London (and deciding not to be a lawyer) Alex has worked in Music Publishing Copyright for the past 16 years (almost as a lawyer). Alex has worked in various roles at PolyGram, MCA, Universal and latterly as Head of Copyright at Music Sales Group where he was also responsible for royalties (having decided not to follow his father into accountancy).

Since leaving Music Sales in early 2008 Alex has completed work on the new edition of "How To Succeed In The Music Business", is collaborating on an opera premiering in Riga September 2008, is embarking on a series of historical novels and started work at Leap Music in February.
